David Guetta, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, The Foo Fighters, and Deadmou5 take the stage at the Grammy Awards
For the sake of the Grammys, Dave Grohl is squelching his beef with electronic music.
The Foo Fighters, who have been known to diss computer-made tracks and their creators during their live shows, will participate in a "special performance highlighting dance/electronica music" at Sunday's (Feb. 12) show, according to an official Grammys press release issued this afternoon (Feb. 7). The rockers' collaborators in this ode to dance music? An unlikely bunch that includes Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, David Guetta and Deadmau5. All five artists are nominated for Grammy Awards this year, with the Foo Fighters up for the coveted Album of the Year category with their "Wasting Light."
It's worth noting that Deadmau5 is not that surprising as a Foo Fighters collaborator -- the DJ is nominated for a Grammy with his remix of the Foos' 2011 single "Rope," of which Grohl has admitted he's a fan. (One could speculate that the "Rope" remix may be incorporated into Sunday's collaborative performance.)
It was anonymously confirmed to the Associated Press just this morning that Chris Brown would return to the Grammy stage following a three-year absence from even attending the awards show, though it was not stated at the time in what capacity.
Grammy performers continue to be announced ahead of the awards' live show on Sunday. Just today, Tony Bennett's duet with Carrie Underwood and an Etta James tribute led by Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys were both announced.
The Grammys announced last week that Adele will make her first performance after undergoing vocal-cord surgery, in addition to the announcement that Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will take the stage. Previously announced Grammy performers include: Katy Perry, Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Coldplay, Rihanna, Foo Fighters (though not known in what capacity until now), Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

She's tried everything from a sky-high mohawk to neon face paint, and now Ke$ha is showing off her most shocking look yet.
The "TiK ToK" singer, 24, posed for a surprisingly feminine photo shoot in the March issue of Glamour.
"I embrace the imperfections and celebrate them," she told the magazine of being spotted without her signature over-the-top look.
Ke$ha, who said her makeup is "usually left over from the night before" reveals her natural freckles in the pictures and dons chic outfits, including a sleek orange dress and a sexy off-the-shoulder sweater with black boy shorts and tights.

But don't expect her to give up her wild ways anytime soon.
"Oh, the body paint stays. It's my favorite thing to do," she said. "Sometimes I have parties at my house in Nashville and it's clothing-optional, and we just body-paint each other and run around."

PARENTS ORG. NBC 'Enabled' Offensive Super Bowl Halftime Show |

A powerful parents TV watchdog claims NBC failed the American public by "enabling"M.I.A. to flip off the camera during the Super Bowl halftime show yesterday ... and now the group is demanding punishment.
The Parents Television Council has released a statement on the incident ... saying, "It is unfortunate that a spectacular sporting event was overshadowed once again by broadcasting the selfish acts of a desperate performer."
The PTC claims NBC and the NFL knew full well what could happen ... especially because they chose a lineup filled with "performers who have based their careers on shock profanity and titillation."
The PTC also rips NBC for failing to block the image from broadcast ... especially since Janet Jackson's nipplegate incident on CBS 8 years ago.
The group is NOT asking for an apology -- insisting one would simply "[ring] hollow after yet another slap in the face to families."
Instead, the group wants ACTION -- saying, "Either the NFL and NBC will take immediate steps to hold those accountable for this offensive material in front of a hundred million Americans, or they will feebly sit back and do nothing."
It's POSSIBLE the NFL and NBC had a contract with M.I.A. ... in which she would have to pay a fine if she pulled any offensive shenanigans ... but so far, it's unclear if she made that agreement. by TMZ

A $137,000 private jet lawsuit against Jay-Z has been brought in for an unexpected landing -- TMZ has learned, the case has been dismissed.
TMZ broke the story ... Jigga was sued in 2010 for flaking on a six-figure bill after racking up 55 hours of flying time on a private jet -- and only paying for 37.
But good news for Hova, the private jet company has dismissed the case.
It's unclear exactly why -- but you can bet a private settlement was reached. Calls to both Jay-Z's camp and the private jet company were not returned.

Madonna: Britney Spears Is Better Than Lady Gaga |

Suffice to say, Madonna is tired of being compared to Lady Gaga.
In the March issue of The Advocate, the 53-year-old Material Girl is once again asked what she thinks about the 25-year-old "Born This Way" singer -- much to her chagrin.
"I have no thoughts," Madonna says cooly. "What's the question?"
When prodded about how Lady Gaga has influenced today's gay youth -- much as she did in the '80s and '90s -- Madonna pauses for a moment to compose herself.
"It seems genuine," Madonna responds. "It seems natural, and I can see why she has a young gay following. I can see that they connect to her kind of not fitting into the conventional norm. I mean, she's not Britney Spears. She's not built like a brick sh-thouse."
Madonna adds that Gaga "seems to have had a challenging upbringing, and so I can see where she would also have that kind of connection, a symbiotic relationship with gay men."
It's not the first time the mother-of-four and "Gimme All Your Luvin" singer has made sly digs at Lady Gaga, whose song "Born This Way" drew criticism for its similarities to Madonna's 1989 hit "Express Yourself."
"I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song ["Express Yourself"]," Madonna recently told Newsweek. "I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was . . . interesting."
