Robin Thicke has been arrested for marijuana possession in New York City ... this according to law enforcement.
According to law enforcement, 34-year-old Thicke was busted this afternoon in Manhattan near Madison Square Park -- after police claim they saw the singer lighting up a joint inside a black SUV.
Sources tell TMZ, Robin was extremely cooperative -- and even signed a couple autographs.
Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released soon after. A rep for Robin Thicke had no comment.
Fun fact: Robin is the son of actor Alan Thicke, who played Jason Seaver on "Growing Pains."

The autopsy of Whitney Houston is complete, TMZ has learned, but the results will be deferred pending a toxicology report.
According to our sources, a cause of death cannot be determined until the toxicology results ... which typically takes 4-6 weeks.
A coroner's spokesman says the results are on a security hold, which just means nothing is being released at this time.
As TMZ first reported ... although the cause of death is unknown, it is increasingly looking like Whitney may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.
We're told Whitney had been drinking the night before and authorities believe a combination of Xanax and alcohol could have fatally sedated her -- although our sources say it is simply too early to draw any firm conclusions.

Beyonce made her second appearance in two nights on Tuesday, stepping out for hubby Jay-Z's benefit concert for United Way and his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation at NYC's Carnegie Hall.
Slipping into the venue via the garage, Beyonce (who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Jan. 7) looked absolutely radiant in a form-fitting Monique Lhuillier black sequin cocktail dress -- plus Gucci shoes, Chanel purse, and accessories by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
As she did at a bash Monday night, the "Love on Top" singer, 30, quietly honored her little girl in an unusual way: with her nail polish, painted an unmistakable blue (Baker Street by Nails Inc., according to Beyonce's manicurist Lisa Logan.)
Wearing a red-hot Alice by Temperley frock at Jay-Z's Monday afterparty at 40/40, Beyonce stayed out until 4:30 a.m., sipped a martini and happily accepted congrats for her new arrival.

 Gisele is saying what EVERY Patriots fan was thinking last night ... Tom Brady needed some "f*cking" help from his teammates during the Super Bowl.
On her way out of the stadium last night, the supermodel was heckled by New York Giants fans ... one who screamed, "Eli owns your husband."
Gisele didn't shout back ... but turned to a friend and said, "My husband can not f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Clearly, G was taking a shot at Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez ... and every other Pats player who CHOKED during the big game.
The comment was captured on tape and has already hit the Internet.
A short time later, Gisele could be seen comforting her hubby in the bowels of the stadium.
So, we gotta ask ...

Bump-y days and nights in Mexico!
Now four months pregnant with her second child, Kourtney Kardashian might not be ready to rock a bikini when summer 2012 hits.
But the reality star, 32, began a four-day jaunt to Mexico on Jan. 19 with beau Scott Disick and their son Mason, 2.
Frolicking in the sand and surf, the eldest Kardashian sister showed off her expanding bump in a sexy two-piece from Beach Bunny.
As guests at pal Joe Francis' Punta Mita estate, Kardashian and Disick, 28, squeezed in couple time in between adventures with their little boy.
According to a source "They were in complete family mode.”
